What is the Eleventh Hour?

The Eleventh Hour is a unique worship experience offered by Marysville First United Methodist church. It is a casual dress, comfortable worship service designed to bring attendees into more intimate relationships both with God and with fellow believers.

What can I expect from an Eleventh Hour service?

We provide snacks and beverages to encourage a friendly, open atmosphere in which real questions can be asked and answers and real friendships can be fostered. The music we use to worship is Christian contemporary played by our own Almost Noon Band and the words are projected on screens for attendees. Many people sing along, others simply listen, some clap or raise their hands to God. Sometimes we have skits to go along with the sermon. Occasionally someone will give a testimony. For the sermon, we sit around small tables- about ten to a table. Each table is asked to discuss the table talk question for that week. Generally there are two questions a week. One gets asked before the sermon and the other is usually asked part way through the sermon. Participation helps us all learn from each other.

Is the Eleventh Hour family friendly?

Yes, yes, yes! We love children of all ages! Having children participate in service is a blessing for us and them. This service allows both children and parents to be in a comfortable setting. Children may get up to get a drink or go to the bathroom during the sermon. They can bring their tambourine to play and worship God along with the band.  We provide crayons and coloring pages to keep them content and many participate in table talks providing refreshing insights. Child care is provided in the nursery for infants.
